FAQ

  1. Select the Start button, then select Settings  > System > About.
  2. Scroll down and you will see the current version of Windows.

Do not use custom Windows Theme and Icon Pack that do not match your Windows version.

Wait for the author to send you the update/make it available on their websites.

I will update the theme links on my website as well over time.

You will also have to update to the latest UxthemePatcher(click for download). So while you’re at it, uninstall any out-of-date UxThemePatcher as well.

No worries, here’s what you need to do đŸ™‚

If you happen to have already installed the update with a theme activated, you will not be able to log into your session, Windows will bring you back to your lockscreen, because of small incompatibilities with the latest interface.

All you have to do is force the restart of your computer approx. 3 times with your shut-down button, until Windows will load a blue screen with a few options available, where you can roll-back to the latest update.

You can also try to boot Windows in Safe Mode, log in into your session and go to the folder “C:\Windows\Resources\Themes” and delete all of your custom themes and folders (except “aero”, “Light”, “theme1” and “theme2”, these are Windows default themes).

While you’re at it, uninstall any out-of-date UxThemePatcher and Iconpacks as well.

First, make sure you have followed the instructions correctly (it’s quite easy).

You can post a comment in the Help & Discussion section, I will do my best to answer.

Alternatively, you can ask to the original author.
